On Saturday, June 4, it was my pleasure to spend the day with my family and colleagues at the Special Olympics NYC Metro Invitational.
While spending a beautiful day outside with my MCHC colleagues, we were able to watch inspiring athletic events, interact with the Special Olympics athletes and their caregivers, and help introduce the athletes to the services we provide here at MCHC. We interacted with our peers from the NYU Dental School who were participating in the Healthy Smiles dental screenings and provided intake and referral services to any of the athletes who needed services. It was also a fabulous opportunity to spend the day with colleagues and their families outside of our health cen- ters. Overall, it was a wonderful day that will hopefully be the first step- ping stone in a relationship with Special Olympics that will continue to de- velop and grow!
